I am originally from New Zealand but now live with my wife and daughter in Switzerland. I am a passionate woodworker and cyclist and have worked professionally both industries. The experience I have gained working as both a Cabinetmaker and Bicycle Mechanic was essential in the development New Valley Bikes.
The first bike that I built was a gift for my wife. It was a really fun project and we took it on a 6 month tour through Patagonia. Since then I've spent the last 3 years designing, developing, and testing 7 prototypes, which has resulted in two models, The Ramirez and the Lucia.
Outstanding Achievements in my career include winning the top prize for a Apprentice Cabinet Maker in New Zealand. ''The FITEC (Furniture Industry Training and Education Council) Trainee of the year''.
