The Advantages of a wooden frame
A softer riding experience
Wood is lighter then steel or aluminum. This means a wooden frame can be thicker without compromising its weight. A thicker frame ensures better vibration and energy absorption resulting in a very smooth ride. The wood fibers act as a damper without the need for suspension.
A unique look
Every tree grows in its own unique way. As a result no two pieces of wood are the same. The grain for each bike is carefully selected firstly to ensure the structural integrity and secondly to showcase the natural beauty of the wood, making every New Valley bike one of a kind.
Environmentally friendly
Wood is a natural building material that is renewable and sustainable. It is also better for the environment in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, air and water pollution, when compared to conventional bike building materials such as steel and aluminum.
By selecting a wooden bike you are reducing the consumption of non-renewable resources and helping combat climate change.
RepairableWood Fibers absorb energy better than steel, aluminum or carbon fiber. As a result if your wooden frame gets a dent, the damage is likely only on the surface. The frame is still structurally sound and can be repaired by simply pulling the wood fibers back to the surface, or by replacing the damaged fibers.
